I’ve talked to many people recently that are letting all the negative media spin get to them. They’ve starting to think the glass is half empty rather than opening their minds to the possibilities and opportunities on the current market. Sure it’s a little tight, but that just means it’s a good chance to optimize, systemize and prioritize!
Few sales? Just focus on other areas of business… Go sow some seeds with marketing, get the accounts done, take a holiday, re-evaluate your focus and products. Just realize that the market is moving and the best approach is not to stand still.
You need to make some changes to succeed in business in these times, but that’s a good thing as it means you’ll build a leaner, more focussed company. When it all picks up, you’ll just have a better, slicker business model to scale.

We’ve just released the new ProWorkflow official team blog – www.ProWorkflowblog.com. We would like to get some feedback about the design, and feel of the site and navigation. We’re not trying to be leading edge here, just after a simple clean layout so we can keep users informed of updates and changes etc.
This will also be a platform for ProWorkflow team members to have a say, so you’ll get tips from the developers, sales staff as well as product updates and news. We’ll also be featuring customer testimonials and talking about their businesses.

The other day, I was thinking about heading to Church on the weekend, and knew there would be lots of people to catch up with. One of my pet dislikes is having to re-ramble a canned pre-amble… ie: saying “How are you… I’ve been up to ???” over and over to different people, friends or new.
We keep a personal family blog which has a good summary of all the cool activities the family gets up to… There’s many hundreds of photos online… And a picture is worth a thousand words, so I thought “How can I give people quick access to the blog, so they can see what we’re up to and what we’re about”.
Saw this Google Street View parody video today. In the tradition of all things webby, it’s probably really old and everyone’s seen it, but thought I’d share anyway. Pretty scary about the privacy issues surrounding Google Street View though. I wouldn’t want to be a Google lawyer! View the vid!…

I’ve had a few good chats lately with Patrick Macfie from http://start-up.co.nz about what they’re up to with the Start-up venture. This is a great New Zealand based resource for people needing startup advice, info, resources or simply to see who else in in ’startup mode’ as well.
